Another Saturday Shrug In The Book

Or is it a Sunday Shrug ? In any case, I adapted my stitch count to that deep stash yarn my mother gave me last summer, for this very pleasant an easy shrug by Jackie Rose. This yarn is over 30 years old, I had no full skeins, very few yarn bands and information. Most of it was acrylic or acrylic blend from look and feel, one was rustic enough to think it was pure wool.

Anyway, I gathered all the tweedy bits in the same colour family, I had several partial skeins in the beige/brown hues, and striped them for this versatile shrug that I can wear with about every outfit. It got a lot of use until the (still cold) Normandy temps finally reached spring norms. Now waiting for next Fall !

Finished Object : My Second Saturday Shrug

I wanted to finish all my mohair leftovers from my Agnes Jumper, and another Saturday Shrug by Jackie Rose that would be more in my usual colour range and a bit less loud than my first one. All done now, and there were still some mohair remaining to knit a hat !

I recommend this shrug recipe, which is highly customisable to your liking, needs, yarn choice and body measures. All that I like.
